The Cheltenham Decorative and Fine Arts Society is a local society of NADFAS (National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies.)
We organise lectures on the second Tuesday evening of each month from September to June. We hold these lectures at Sacred Heart's Church Hall, Moorend Road which is off the A435, Cirencester Road in Charlton Kings. The bar is open for 30 minutes before each lecture.
We also organise about four day trips a year and hold two Days of Special Interest. The latter are often held in the meeting room of the Cheltenham Art Gallery and Museum.
In addition, we have a Church Recorders' group, run a Heritage Volunteers scheme and contribute to Young Arts projects.
Our Annual General Meeting is held in June each year at Sacred Heart's Hall.

CHURCH RECORDERS Record inventories of church contents. This includes photographs where appropriate.
HERITAGE VOLUNTEERS Assist at various locations, such as at the Holst Birthplace Museum, where we help man the desk.
YOUNG ARTS Contribute, usually financially, to a range of projects to encourage young people's appreciation of and participation in the arts. This is sometimes carried out in co-operation with other organisations, such as the Cheltenham Art Gallery & Museum.
